Der Soundtrack zu Episode I – Die dunkle Bedrohung wurde, wie auch alle anderen Sountracks, von John Williams komponiert und von dem London Symphony Orchestra und den London Voices, sowie von The new London Children's Choir, eingespielt.
Die CD enthält als Zusatz zur CD ein ausklappbares Poster im Booklet, sowie die Meinungen von George Lucas und John Williams zu den Soundtracks der Star Wars Filme.
